4.2 Attendance

Regular attendance is expected of all children in the program. In order to maintain staff/child ratios, it is important to call or email your child’s classroom if you will not be bringing your child or you will be arriving later than your normal time. We do ask that parents bring children to school in time for morning activities. We know that from time to time schedules may not permit, but it is for the benefit of your child that he/she comes in time for group activities.

FEELC asks that children arrive by 10:00am each day. If your child(red) has an appointment and will be arriving after 10:00am, please notify our FEELC Director, Amy Walters. Amy will notify your child’s classroom teachers and the kitchen, so they know what time to expect your child to arrive.

Having your child arrive on time helps them begin their day and learn consistency as well as establish routines. Many older classrooms (toddlers-PreK) have group meetings each morning where children and teachers discuss the plans, share ideas, and provide many learning opportunities for children to be involved in with making choices about activities they would like to participate in for the day.
